Most of us feel about conflict the same way we do about snakes – AVOID! The fear and discomfort brought on by conflict is understandable, we all have evidence of harmful conflict. When we are willing to shift our thinking around conflict we open up powerful opportunities to take advantage of the creative forces of conflict. Insights, inventions and innovations emerge from the energy created when there is a push, a need or a desire for something to be different-a tension between what is and what could be. Creative conflict requires a spirit of curiosity, mutual respect, a commitment to learn, a listening beyond the right/wrong of the situation and an appetite to cause and engage with the magic of nothingness or unknowing. Do you have what it takes?
